Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Painless Manufacturing ("Service Provider", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you access or use the Painless Manufacturing platform ("Platform").

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Platform.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including manufacturers, dealers, invited team members, and any other individuals or entities who access the Platform.

The Platform is a business-to-business service. If your organization provides you with access, your administrator or the manufacturer account that invited you may control certain account settings and data associated with your use.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect, record, store, and access information in the following categories:

  • Account information — name, email address, login credentials, role or permissions, and related profile details
  • Business and operational data — dealer and customer records, orders, quotes, invoices, payments, inventory, shipping details, product configurations, notes, attachments, and other data submitted to or generated by the Platform
  • Usage and technical data — activity logs, IP addresses, device information, browser type, approximate location derived from IP, cookies or similar technologies, and diagnostic or performance data
  • Communications — messages, support requests, and other correspondence conducted through or related to the Platform

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Platform
  • Authenticate users and manage accounts, roles, and access
  • Process orders, payments, inventory, and related business workflows
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests
  • Monitor security, prevent abuse, and investigate suspicious activity
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use
  • Generate aggregated or anonymized analytics for service improvement and legitimate business purposes

5. How Information Is Shared

We may share information in these circumstances:

  • Within your business relationship — manufacturers, dealers, and authorized users on an account may see data that is part of their shared ordering and operational workflows
  • Service providers — vendors who help us host, process payments, send email, store files, provide analytics, or otherwise operate the Platform, under obligations to protect the information
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or others
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality measures

We do not sell personal information.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Platform, keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as appearance), and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling certain cookies may limit Platform functionality.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the account's relationship with us.

8. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for maintaining your own backups of critical business data where appropriate.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and role, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or delete certain information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Many account details can be updated directly in the Platform. For other requests, contact us using the details below.

If you access the Platform through a manufacturer or dealer organization, some requests may need to be handled by that organization's administrator.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. International Transfers

Information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the Platform, you understand that information may be transferred to jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or via email when appropriate. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
